The most important part about musical education is finding a teacher who focuses on the things that YOU know are important. Very few student will go on to be concert pianists.

My philosophy of music education is to give children a foundation of musical knowledge that will build character traits such as perseverance, determination, and humility as well as musical skills that can launch them into any musical path or simply enrich their knowledge and appreciation for music.

I love to motivate my students by choosing music that interests them as well as being a constant source of encouragement and enthusiasm. Learning a new skill is difficult but it is so rewarding. I challenge my students to work for excellence and encourage them all the way there.
